MCP (Model Context Protocol) is a standard for connecting AI tools together, like USB-C for AI. Connecting DirectCase lets Claude or ChatGPT access a verified database of laws and case law directly inside their own interface.
Claude (Desktop and web), ChatGPT, MS Copilot (Studio edition) and other tools that support MCP. The integration works inside the tool you already use, no need to change your working environment.
Yes, the AI tool subscription is arranged directly with that provider. DirectCase is a separate service that supplies the legal context. For Claude, even the free tier is sufficient.
Connecting DirectCase to Claude, ChatGPT or Copilot takes under 2 minutes. No IT specialist required.
DirectCase communicates with the AI tool over encrypted channels, DirectCase servers are in the EU, and user data is not used to train models. Still, choose the AI tool you work in and connect to DirectCase carefully. Responsibility for data processing on your AI tool’s side is governed by that provider’s terms.
You can use DirectCase directly via the web interface at directcase.ai. There you have full access to all research, document analysis, and filing preparation features.
For legal questions, definitely. ChatGPT otherwise has no access to legal databases, which can lead to inaccurate citations or non-existent case numbers.
